Former Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati on Friday presented himself before investigators following summons by the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC).
The former Governor presented himself to the EACC Western Regional offices in Bungoma County.
Wangamati is being investigated over allegations of theft of public funds through irregular awards of road construction tenders worth over Ksh 70 million to companies he is linked to alongside his five brothers.
The award of tenders is said to have taken place during the 2017/2018 and the 2021/2022 financial years.
