Manchester United and England legend Wayne Rooney shares four sons with his wife Coleen, three of whom have taken up football. His eldest, Kai, is already impressing in United’s academy, while his younger brother Klay also represents the same club their father famously played for 559 times. Wayne Rooney, his wife Coleen, and their children Kit, Klay, Kai, and Cass posed for a family photo ahead of the England vs. the United States international friendly. Rooney’s youngest son, Cass, is also following in his father’s footsteps by playing for his boyhood club, Everton. However, unlike his siblings, Kit—Rooney’s third son—has decided to step away from football.
Kit’s next sport His mother Coleen has disclosed that Kit, their third child, has grown tired of playing football and now dreams of becoming a darts player instead. Kit celebrated his ninth birthday with a darts-themed party and has been inspired by 18-year-old Luke Littler, a rising star in darts and Rooney’s former Pro Clubs teammate, who became the youngest world champion at Alexandra Palace earlier this year. Speaking to The Sun, Coleen shared that their third son, Kit, is currently passionate about darts and hopes to pursue it seriously. She noted that he regularly has steak for breakfast, referring to him as “the darts one” in the family. Coleen also mentioned that while Kit occasionally adds a fried egg, he mostly prefers to eat just the steak.
“He has steak for breakfast — he’s the one into darts. He wants to be a darts player right now,” Coleen said. “Sometimes he’ll have a fried egg with it, but mostly it’s just a steak – he’ll just have that,” as per the Sun. Rooney and family enjoy a night out at a darts event After the Rooney family watched Luke Littler’s remarkable darts victory in January, Rooney celebrated the moment by sharing a post on Instagram. The former United star expressed his joy and said it had been an incredible night for the boys, while also congratulating Littler. Coleen also shared her excitement on social media, describing it as an amazing night and mentioning how thrilled the kids were, as she congratulated Luke Littler as well. “What a night for the lads. Congratulations Luke. Unbelievable.”
