Inject Party of Kenya leader Morara Kebaso turned heads when he stepped out in an extravagant Stephano Ricci shirt, just days after President William Ruto donned a similar design in public. Morara Kebaso rocks KSh 190K Stephano Ricci shirt after President William Ruto.  While Ruto has many versions, Morara’s shirt features maroon-themed and orange-themed variations of the same luxurious brand. The unexpected fashion choice has sparked discussions, with many questioning whether Morara is aligning himself with the president’s style, or if this was simply a case of refined taste in fashion. President William Ruto and Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir. The prestige of Stephano Ricci shirts Stephano Ricci is renowned for its silk-blend fabric, intricate paisley patterns, and precious metal-galvanised hardware, creating a sophisticated yet comfortable aesthetic. The brand is synonymous with opulence, each piece crafted to exude luxury and exclusivity.

A spot check by TUKO.co.ke confirmed that the high-end shirt retails at an astonishing KSh 190,000, a price tag that cements its status as a fashion statement reserved for the elite. Source: Twitter Morara, a fierce critic of President Ruto, has long positioned himself as an independent voice in Kenyan politics, seeking to challenge the status quo. However, his decision to wear the same high-end brand as the head of state has left many with questions. Does Morara Kebaso secretly admire Ruto’s style? Is he unintentionally mirroring the very leader he critiques? More controversially, Morara has built his reputation on grassroots civic education and public advocacy, often relying on public donations to fund his initiatives. This has led some Kenyans to criticise his persistence in soliciting contributions, with detractors accusing him of being overly reliant on public goodwill. Now, donning a shirt worth nearly KSh 200,000, Morara’s critics argue that his luxurious fashion choices contradict his public appeals for financial support. If he can afford high-end designer wear, they ask, why does he need donations?

Morara Kebaso steps ot in Stephano Ricci shirt.  Morara Kebaso’s net worth and business ventures Morara has faced ongoing scrutiny over his source of wealth, particularly after his publicised run-ins with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA). However, in a past interview with Dr. King’ori, he openly addressed speculation about his finances. While initially hesitant to disclose his net worth, he later revealed that he is worth over KSh 100 million. Contrary to assumptions, he insists that wealth can be accumulated ethically in Kenya, referencing nations like Syria, the Gaza Strip, and Zimbabwe, where resilience and ingenuity have led individuals to financial success despite economic hardships. Is Morara Kebaso paying his taxes? KRA previously accused the activist and 2027 presidential aspirant of evading taxes amounting to KSh 27 million. According to KRA, Kebaso allegedly earned over KSh 186 million between 2022 and 2024 through six businesses but filed nil tax returns during the same period. However, Kebaso refuted these claims, providing tax compliance certificates for 2023 and 2024 as proof of his adherence to tax regulations.
