The Kishash hitmaker is marking two years since the death of his grandfather who formed a huge part of his life.
The two were so close, that netizens always remarked how they envied their bond. His social media pages capture several videos in which Maina pulls pranks on his grandparents and hilariously goofs, and fans love it.

On his Instagram stories, Lil Maina showed how much the family cared for Babu, as they celebrated his birthday. The grandfather stood Infront of the cake, as the candle waited to be blown out.
“Long live Babu” the singer captioned it.
His babu died in 2023 21st February.

The emotional message read.
“I don’t know what to say, babu, I will always love you in my heart. It is not the same without you, it will never be,” Maina said. “Thank you for making me who I am today… Till we meet again.”

Maina was raised in Mombasa and later left the Coast for Nairobi to live with his grandparents. This was a turning point in his life as it was said he found his love for comic stunts.
Fans were very tickled anytime Maina showed how he played around with his grand folks.
