The German suffered a torn hamstring and reports in England indicate he will not play any part in the Gunners’ season. Mikel Arteta’s side a in the middle of a Premier League title battle and could look into the market for free agents to replace Kai Havertz. Kai Havertz has been ever-present for Arsenal this season. Kai Havertz injury setback According to The Athletic, Kai Havertz sustained a torn hamstring during Arsenal’s warm-weather training camp in Dubai, UAE. The report adds that it is not yet clear if the German will require surgery but he is looking to get ready for the 2025/26 season. The 25-year-old has made 34 appearances and registered 15 goals and five assists this season and will surely be missed by Mikel Arteta.
The injury leaves the Gunners without a recognised centre-forward. Gabriel Jesus is also out for the season with an ACL, while Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka are nursing hamstring issues. The other forwards in Arsenal’s squad are Raheem Sterling, Leandro Trossard, and Ethan Nwaneri. The North London club are second in the Premier League, six points behind Liverpool who are flying right now. The former Everton star left Udinese in January and is now a free agent but injuries have been a problem. Maxi Gomez The 28-year-old spent last season at Cadiz but failed to score or assist in 34 appearances. he has scored nearly 100 goals in his career and could rediscover his scoring touch at the Emirates Stadium.
