“Some days ago, my mom told me, ‘Natamani kuongeza kamoja (a child),’ and I asked her, ‘Who’s going to raise that child? Are you going to take the child to its father?’ She replied, ‘Why would I take the child to its father? We’ll raise it together, you and I,’ (smiling),” Vishy wrote, adding several laughing emojis.
This translates to: “My mom told me she wanted to have another child, and I asked her, ‘Who’s going to raise that child? Are you going to take the child to its father?’ She replied, questioning why she would take the child to its father, and said, ‘We’ll raise it together, you and I.'”
Not holding back, Vishy told her mom in a matter-of-fact tone that if she went through with that plan, she would completely cut her off.
The social media influencer continued, explaining that she had a back-and-forth with her mom, where she made it clear that she already hated being the firstborn and carrying a huge load of responsibilities.
She didn’t want anything else—especially something that wasn’t her decision—added to her plate.
“I told her, I will never… In fact, I told her I’d cut her off. Why would she look for another child for me to help raise? Maybe she was joking, but hello, don’t joke about things like that. I don’t like it. I don’t have my own child, so don’t make me regret being your child. I already regret being the firstborn—don’t add to my regrets,” the last part of her post read.
Defending her stance using the word of God, Vishy wrote in another media post, “Whenever your parents disrespect you, show them that it’s wrong and you don’t appreciate it. Yes, the Bible says, ‘Children, obey your parents,’ but the same Bible is fair enough to say, ‘Parents, do not provoke your children.'”

Netizens seemed divided, with a fair number of them calling out the 22-year-old content creator, while others sympathized with her situation and defended her.
One commenter argued that Vishy’s post was inappropriate, writing, “SMH, these celebs need to go to school to learn what to post!”
Another shared a similar sentiment, saying, “Family issues should be resolved outside the internet.”
A sympathizer of the TikToker wrote, “So deep,” along with a crying emoji. Another added, “FACTS!!!” to show support for Vishy’s perspective.
“Naona mnajiandika Bible these days. Sasa ya wazazi msikasirishe watoto…” a netizen commented, calling out Vishy.
