Njambi died in June 2024 after fighting a lifelong battle with endometriosis and was mourned by celebrities and fans across the globe. How Njambi Koikai’s sister celebrated her heavenly birthday According to sources, she was in and out of the Nairobi Hospital ICU before she succumbed to the illness, leaving her family and Kenyans heartbroken. However, her sister shared photos of Njambi dressed in a military dress and another carrying flowers while laughing.
She accompanied the post with a beautiful message to celebrate her 39th birthday posthumously. She wrote: “Happy heavenly birthday to our queen, @jahmbykoikai♥️🎂. We celebrate the incredible life you lived and the unforgettable mark you left on this world. You are truly one in a million and will forever live in my heart. Love you endlessly, bebe. After her passing, a video emerged of Koikai narrating her health struggles and how she had undergone so many surgeries. The radio personality disclosed that she had had 21 surgeries as she narrated how endometriosis had affected her life.
Njambi also noted that the disease she was battling had affected over 200 million women globally and asked that treatment be made accessible. What was Njambi’s last message The celebrity was diagnosed with endometriosis when she was 19 years old and tried to seek treatment in the country and the US. In her last post, the media personality and emcee penned a lengthy message to President William Ruto, who was visiting the US at the time. She urged the president to invest in healthcare and declare endometriosis a national disaster. The bubbly celebrity, who had been hospitalised in the US for the better part of 2019, where she underwent several surgeries, narrated how her health deteriorated after her lungs collapsed due to the condition.
