Controversial digital content creator, media personality and entrepreneur King Kalala has outlined one strict guideline that would have to transpire for her to get married any time soon.Aah when to get married! A conversation as old as time itself perhaps. Either you’re too young or too old for it, and societal “right time” doesn’t seem to fit into this new generations’ timeline.King Kalala, born Prudence Chepkurui Tonui, argued that she didn’t think she was eligible to tie the knot since she was still in her 20’s and such a commitment needs one to be much older, more mature and stable among many other things.Known for her harsh criticism, no filter and controversial take in life and other subjects, the 26-year-old former radio presenter took to her socials to share her take on marriage and when she personally feels she’d be viable for the supposedly lifelong commitment. She started by acknowledging that she believed marriage was sacred hence why people shouldn’t rush into it.“Marriage is something that is ordained by the lord. And as long as the lord has not visited me and I don’t feel the conviction of the Holy Spirit, I feel like it is not in my place to rush into it,” the social media big wig shared in part. You’ve got to admit, she sure does have a point with that one.So, does she ever plan on tying the knot and settling down?
Kalala confirms yes! She isn’t against the idea of finding a better half and starting a family after sharing vows under God and man. Her only concern in this case is when.
According to the media personality perhaps she might consider this in the next 10 years or so.“I want to get married but when I am 37/38 years old,” the former radio host shared. An age that might be considered as too old by most as society views marriage as a child-bearing contract. And having your first kids while in your late 30’s is something heavily frowned upon.
Back in September 2023, Kalala shocked the masses after she shared her desire to play the traditional feminine role in a relationship.
However, one thing for sure didn’t change. Even back then she insisted she would prefer to get married and start a family while at 37.
According to the then 25-year-old, she wasn’t ready for anything serious as, “Commitment is hard for me. It’s difficult. Maybe when I finally learn that skill, I will think about it. It’s one thing to cheat on your boyfriend, but cheating on your husband, after making vows before God and the community, is different.”
On the number of kids, she’d love to have when the time finally comes Kalala shared her desire for a huge family stating, “I would like to have seven kids because, in my family, we are only two. If my partner and I disagree, we must reconcile. There’s no ‘silent treatment’ for two weeks.”
