Dorea Chege and Dj Dibul have shared their thoughts and plans for their yet to be born baby. The couple announced their pregnancy a few weeks ago, in a beautiful reveal.
On their YouTube channel, the couple have responded to Kenyans who’ve been speculating if they have already delivered their child.
In a Q&A session, Dorea playfully teased fans with the question, “What is the baby’s due date?” while her partner, DJ Dibul, hinted that the announcement would be made public soon.
The video, recorded in December 2024, has sparked speculation among fans that the couple may have already welcomed their bundle of joy.
Addressing the rumors, Dorea coyly said, “We are not going to tell you, but very soon!” adding with a smile, “By the way, mtashangaa!” hinting at a surprise revelation about their baby’s arrival.
Dorea also shared, “This is something people didn’t expect from us. Were it not for the nature of our jobs, we wouldn’t have told you. You would’ve just been shocked that the baby is already born.”
The couple also discussed the possibility of creating a social media account for their child but expressed differing opinions.
“Yes, but I feel we should give them time first because some of these things require careful thought and wisdom,” Dibul shared, expressing concerns about the potential downsides of social media.
“There’s so much out there—cyberbullying, good people, and others whose intentions you don’t know.”
Dorea agreed, saying, “The world is rotten,” and stressed that they would rely on God’s guidance in making such decisions.
The duo also spoke about their excitement as they await their little one, with Dibul joking about who would change more diapers.
“You, I guess it’s you,” Dibul quipped. “But I will help—just teach me how! I can’t wait. For me, I’d love to do this with you.”
He shared his eagerness to spoil their unborn child, while Dorea revealed who first suspected the pregnancy.
“Me!” Dibul proudly declared. “I told you to take a test to confirm. I even suspected it when we were about to take deworming medication. You were sleeping too much—I’d leave you sleeping and come back to find you still asleep.”
Dorea reflected on her own thoughts at the time, saying, “I thought I was depressed.” Dibul also admitted he would likely overthink things as a parent, showing his excitement and protective nature.
The couple’s lighthearted and heartfelt conversation gave fans a glimpse of their joy and anticipation as they prepare for parenthood.
