Multi-award-winning artist Megan Thee Stallion has finally had her restraining order against Tory Lanez.
The female rapper had claimed Tory was using “psychological warfare” against her by using an army of bloggers to post defamatory remarks about her ever since he got sentenced to prison for 10 years after he was found guilty of shooting her in her foot.
The triple Grammy Award winner, last month, filed a request for a restraining order citing that the 31-year-old singer was making payments to one blogger from prison through his dad.

She alleged the money was aimed towards maintaining said blogger constantly ran malicious and defamatory articles about Meg which has caused her a lot of emotional and psychological distress.
While testifying in L.A. County Superior Court a month ago, (though by virtual attendance) the ‘Mamushi’ crooner told the judge, “I want my restraining order because I haven’t been at peace since I [was] shot,” adding (while choking back tears) that she rarely leaves her house, because she’s “a nervous wreck all the time” … and has to endure people yelling “Free Tory” during her concerts.
It appears her words really struck a chord and after much deliberation, the judge has now granted Megan her restraining order and ordered Tory to stop harassing the female rapper from behind bars.

According to details of the signed legal order, Meg has a 5-year restraining order which means Tory has to stay at least 100 yards away from the artist, her home, her work and/or her car. Although that part won’t be a hustle for him, since he’s locked up behind bars either way.
Now comes the not so easy part… it also forbids him from harassing, threatening, intimidating or disturbing, “the peace of one [Megan] any further,” and on that note, Tory must not contact her directly or indirectly in any way be it by phone or electronically.
A jury in Los Angeles convicted the 31-year-old Canadian back in December 2023 after he was found guilty of assault with a semi-automatic firearm; having a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle; and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.

During the trial, Megan Thee Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete, testified that she was shot and wounded at the party in the Hollywood Hills on 12 July 2020 after the pair left Jenner’s home with his bodyguard and her friend and assistant Kelsey Harris in an SUV in the early hours of 12 July 2020.
The rapper argued that Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, became enraged after she had disparaged his musical talent. She said she had demanded to be let out of a luxury car before he fired five rounds at her. She told the jury the Canadian had told her to “dance” before opening fire.
She also testified that he had offered her $1m (£830,000) to keep quiet about the attack because he claimed to be on probation for a weapons offence. She initially said to police that she had cut her feet on glass.
