Famous Congolese prophet Charles Motondo has cautioned Kenyans against disrespecting President William Ruto, warning of potential divine consequences. Prophet Charles Motondo warns against disrespecting President Ruto. Speaking during a recent visit to Kenya, the charismatic and philanthropic preacher expressed concern over the growing trend of mocking the president, particularly through nicknames like Kasongo.
Motondo stated that such acts undermine the president and insult God, who he believes anointed Ruto to lead the nation. “Corruption isn’t only in the government; it’s even in the church. Why are they calling the president funny names like ‘Kasongo’? I don’t know much about it, but it sounds like it means someone who is useless. The Bible says it’s a curse to speak evil of the authority that God has established. If God appointed him, it means you’re not insulting him but God who put him there,” Motondo told TUKO.co.ke.
Bishop Motondo speaks on criticism and corruption The prophet challenged Kenyans to avoid singling out the government for corruption, noting that dishonesty and greed are widespread, even within religious institutions. He urged for equal scrutiny across all sectors of society, including the church. Motondo also pointed out that no leader can be universally loved, referencing the criticisms faced by previous presidents.
“There’s no president who stays forever. They come and go. We’ve had many presidents, and now we have President Ruto. But are you not the same people who chanted against the former president? There’s no single president who will be celebrated throughout their tenure. Each leader has their challenges and opposition,” he remarked. Motondo calls for understanding and leadership While urging Kenyans to respect their leaders, Motondo also addressed Ruto, advising him to listen to the people’s frustrations and address their concerns.
“I pray that God helps the president understand that sometimes when people are crying, it’s not because they dislike him but due to their frustrations. He must try by all means to fix their problems because God chose him to lead them,” he said. Congolese Prophet Charles Motondo delivers prophecy to Kenyans. The prophet further noted that some leadership challenges may not stem from the president himself but from those around him.
“Sometimes, it’s not the president’s mistake but those of the surrounding people, the ministers. They receive the vision from the head of state but fail to implement it due to their own interests,” he concluded. Who is Bishop CB Motondo? Bishop Motondo is the current President of the Congolese community in Zimbabwe, overseeing over 10 thousand Congolese migrants.
