Tanzanian songstress Zuchu has responded to claims that she has been trying to force her boyfriend Diamond Platnumz to marry her.
The ‘Sukari’ hitmaker was on Wasafi FM where she cleared the air saying that she was not pleased with ‘zinaa’ and is a role model to many.
“There is no profit in sex before marriage and I cannot laugh about it. It is obvious that I love my man and if it was my wish, I would have made things official with him a long time ago because the way we are right now, there’s no difference with someone who is.
We meet everyday, we are not official. Its not a good look for people around me because I am an aunt and I am the eldest sister, I try to be a role model to my people,” she said.

She said their on and off relationship was not brought about by asking him to marry her.
“Who are you to tell me not to ask him to marry me?” she asked. She then cheekily proposed how Diamond could be convicted to ask for her hand in marriage.
“We’ve been dating for four years. We need to make t-shirts for a campaign written ‘Boss, marry her’ or ‘Boss marry someone’s daughter’. We are getting old. So that he sees them when he passes by the office.”

Zuchu Calls Diamond’s Kids her Own
In a recent interview, Zuchu shared her thoughts on motherhood and her current priorities. “I already have kids, and I usually come here with them. I have kids with Naseeb, and his kids are mine, so I am already a mum,” she said, referring to Diamond by his real name, Naseeb Abdul Juma.
“Giving birth is not the only way to become a mum. You can be a mum by raising others or being an aunt to your siblings’ kids. I have been blessed to be a mum to my partner’s kids. That is enough for me for now,” she added.
Zuchu has been a prominent figure in Diamond’s family life, often bonding with his children from previous relationships with Zari Hassan and Kenyan singer Tanasha Donna.
Her nurturing demeanor has earned her praise, particularly after a viral video in December 2023 showed her comforting Princess Tiffah, Diamond’s daughter with South African socialite Zari Hassan.
