Media Personality Oga Obina has come to the defense of Ezekiel Otuoma’s widow Rachel.
Rachel has been facing bullying and unwarranted insults from a section of Kenyans even before her husband’s demise.
The allegations were that Rachel was using Otuoma’s ailment to seek sympathy from Kenyans.
In a new video doing rounds online, a photo of the house belonging to Otuoma’s mum emerged.
Some netizens took to social media to blast Rachel for allegedly not building her mother-in-law a proper house.
“I saw a story that Otuoma’s mum is in abject poverty and blasting Rachel for it. She is not Rachel’s responsibility and that is the truth of the matter. Let us remove feelings from this story. “

“This is the same way my wife’s mother is not my responsibility and vice versa. If my wife and I decided to take care of my parents or siblings it is out of goodwill. You are only responsible for yourself and your kids, Other things are secondary.”

“If Rachel decides to stand with Otuoma’s mother then be it. She did her part by being there for Otuoma after he became sick. Imagine if she had decided to take him back to his mother, would the mother have survived? She solved half the problem by sticking by Otuoma after he got sick.”
He dared those attacking Rachel to do something for Otuoma’s mum.
“If someone feels she has not stood by the mum, you can step in and help.”
His message to Rachel ” You have done a good job, if you have a personal relationship with Mama Otuoma you continue cultivating it.”

In conclusion, Obinna added
“People are just making conclusions and they do not know if the two had a good relationship.”
Otuoma passed away on 20th December 2024, four years after he was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease.
His death was confirmed by his wife Rachel.
At the time of his death, Rachel was celebrating her 31st birthday at their home.
“To my Husband, You left a hole in my heart that no one else can fill💔the emptiness in my arms reminds me of the love we shared. Your love was a gift and I’ll cherish it always.
However, it was so soon that broke my heart. You left on my birthday, and it will never be the same again💔you never said you were leaving or even showed a sign, you never said goodbyeðŸ˜in life I loved you dearly in death I love you still in my heart you hold a place that only you can fill. It broke my heart to lose you but you didn’t go alone a part of me went with youðŸ˜. TILL ME WE MEET AGAIN.”
