Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo has responded to the sensational claims by former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, who linked the national government to the deaths caused by illicit brew in Mt Kenya. Interior PS Raymond Omollo.
While addressing a church congregation in Nakuru on Sunday, December 22, Gachagua claimed that the government had directed the distribution of harmful brew to Mt Kenya to kill the youths for political reasons. However, in his rebuttal, Omollo strongly dismissed the claims, terming them ludicrous and mischievous.
“The state Department of Internal Security and National Administration wishes to condemn the reckless statements made by the impeached former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in a church service he attended yesterday, accusing the government of deliberately targeting citizens of Kenya in Mt. Kenya region with illicit and counterfeit alcohol distribution,” said Omollo.
