Speaking in Baringo on Friday, December 13, Wandayi expressed his support for the president’s efforts to unite all Kenyans. He stated that Uhuru is also a Kenyan and can collaborate with the Kenya Kwanza government if he chooses to. “Uhuru is a Kenya, so their is absolutely no problem if he works with the president,” Wandayi said. Quoting the Bible, he noted that there is a time for everything.

This comes days after Uhuru hosted his successor, Ruto, at his Ichaweri home in Gatundu South constituency, Kiambu County on Monday, December 9.
The nearly two-hour meeting sparked mixed reactions among Kenyans, with some speculating that Ruto might be preparing to appoint Uhuru’s allies to Cabinet positions in an upcoming reshuffle.
However, the president explained the reasons for reaching out to Uhuru despite their past political differences. Speaking at the Pastoralists Leadership Summit in Wajir County on Tuesday, December 10, Ruto said he met with Uhuru to seek common ground for future collaboration in the national interest.
