A missing girl from Murang’a county has sparked mixed reactions after she was found safe and sound. Veronicah Waithira Waigwe from Gatheru Kiharu was found on Friday, December 13, after going missing for days. She was reported missing on Sunday, December 8, when netizens launched a search for the young girl.
How old is Waithira?
The 19-year-old student’s disappearance left Kenyans heartbroken as they combined efforts to ensure she was found.”She has reached out and said she is safe and now a wife. We are grateful that she has been found safe,” a post read.The post included a picture of Waithira in her full school uniform, the one she was wearing when she was missing. Despite many feeling relieved after she was found, they were surprised to learn that she had been married at her tender age.
