Bonfire Adventures boss Sarah Kabu has apologized for advising women to stay with cheating spouses.
Sarah had earlier advised women not to leave their marriages over infidelity.
She now says it is important to prioritize mental wellness and personal well-being.
“I want to apologize for telling women to stay in marriages where there is infidelity. Wamama, tafadhali nawaomba mnisamehe. If things aren’t working, it’s better to leave while you still can.’ she said in a video.
She further advised, “From today henceforth, if it’s not working, it’s not working, just leave.”
In an interview with Art of Living on KTN back in November 2024, Sarah appeared to suggest that women should overlook this.
“But nowadays I am telling women, actually cheating should not be one of the reasons we leave men, or we should be worried about our husband.,”
Adding, “Let’s worry about other bigger things, than whether he’s cheating or not. When you become unbothered, they become worried. How come you are not checking on me? You are not praying for me? So I’m telling women tucheze chini kidogo, we cannot keep chasing them all the time, let men be who they were created to be,”
The mother of 2 is also on record defending partners who cheat, urging women to let men just have fun.
“You know I’ve seen a lot of couples separating nowadays, and I feel that it’s not necessary unless it’s life-threatening, there’s no need. “If your life is not in danger, if you’re not under any threat, he is just having fun, let him be,” the tour and travels MD said.
Mid last month while speaking on the Hey Girl podcast with Eve Mungai, Sarah shared her belief that men who cheat still deeply love their wives and rarely leave them for side chicks.
“Most married men dearly love their wives. If you’re a married woman, you made vows, he put a ring on your finger, and he hasn’t chased you away, and he is cheating on you, just know deep down he truly loves you and wishes to spend the rest of his life with you,” Sarah stated.
Using examples of politicians involved in love triangles, Sarah opined that despite their infidelity, married men prioritize their wives.
“They don’t leave their wives, and deep down, they love them. They put their wives’ names under their investments, not the side chicks,” she added.
