Why Cartoon comedian has changed her name to ‘Vanessa Akinyi’

 

Kenyan comedian and Content creator Cartoon Comedian has made drastic changes as far as her stage name is concerned.

In an update seen by Mpasho, Cartoon said that from now henceforth she will be identified as ‘Vanessa Akinyi’ and not ‘Cartoon Comedian’.

She explained that the change has been necessitated by the need to reconnect with a part of herself that she has always held close to her heart.

“Dear team Cartoon,

It’s been an incredible journey with each of you by my side, and your support has meant the world to me. As I continue to grow personally and artistically, I feel it’s time to reconnect with a part of myself that I’ve always held close to my heart—my original name,” she said in part.

Cartoon added that she is ready to embrace her roots and every step of her journey.

“This change feels like coming home, honoring my roots, and embracing every step of my path,” she said.

Additionally, the comedian made it clear that she is super grateful to all the fans who have supported her all along.

“From now on, I’ll be known as [Vanessa Akinyi]. I’m excited to take this step forward with all of you, knowing that my journey is also part of your story. Thank you for supporting me through every change and chapter of this thing called life. With all my love and gratitude. Vanessa Akinyi,” Cartoon Comedian signed off her statement as she changed her name.
