Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Elly Otieno, a neighbour of the family, stated that the woman who was expectant delivered a baby who unfortunately passed on a day after his birth. Five days later, the woman also passed on under unclear circumstances.
“The mother went to give birth, and the baby was fine after delivery, but he died one day later,” Otieno stated. Siaya family die under mysterious circumstances According to Otieno, she was bleeding a lot after giving birth, but cannot confirm if that is what caused her untimely death.

“Her son, who is 10 years old, suddenly became sick and died a day after she was pronounced dead,” the neighbour added. Distressed and saddened by the sudden loss in his family, the woman’s husband fell ill, exhibiting similar symptoms as the son. He was rushed to the hospital but died on arrival just a day after his son’s demise.

There are many speculations as to what caused the death of an entire family in less than two weeks. The neighbour reported that villagers say the mysterious deaths are linked to not adhering to cultural practices and rules. Others say they were poisoned, bewitched or cursed.
“The father and son exhibited similar symptoms, opening and shutting their eyes funnily and they all could not talk to explain what was happening to them,” he narrated. However, no medical report had been released confirming the cause of death of the four members of the family. Moreover, they were all buried on the same day, Saturday, November 2.
