She thought it'd wash off! Murugi Munyi laments after daughter scratched her SUV
Above all children are a blessing! That is the message Murugi Munyi wants all of you to keep in mind once you hear the story of how her last-born daughter, Mutana, completely scratched the driver's door and some parts of the back door of her Land Rover Discovery.
The mother of 3 admits she was so angry she literally cried as there was nothing much she could do, adding her daughter's innocent take on why she drew on the car with a rock made getting mad at her a little impossible.
Murugi's husband, Zach had been away on a work trip resulting to the digital content creator deciding to give her car, dubbed Shaba a break, and drive her man's car instead as, "it is easier to use and cheaper to fuel. Plus he had already pre-fuelled it so I was set," and that was the genesis of her current predicament.
"So story time... yes, those are beautiful artistic scratches you are seeing on my beautiful Shaba," Murugi wrote as she shared a photo showcasing the extent of the damage caused by her little one.
Narrating how things unfolded she shared, "before I even tell this story let me start by saying children are such a blessing and it is really important to remember that in such moments... especially when you feel (heavy sigh) why, or how? My car was parked here for like a week and a half because I'd been driving Zach's car and the girls and their friends kept on writing on it with their fingers because it was dusty.
They'd been doing 'clean me,' and love hearts and whatnot.
So, on Wednesday I was driving in and I noticed scratches on my car and I was like 'Impossible! There is no way someone could have put all these scratches with an object on my vehicle!' I park the other car and walk up to my car and the entire driver's side door has been scratched! I'm looking at it and I'm literally starting to shake because I'm seeing deep scratches on my baby,"
Murugi went on to share how she called her kids out for questioning and the older daughter, Mukeni quickly ratted out Mutana as a culprit. The hilarious part is little Tana didn't see what the fuss was all about.
On being questioned she actually, and quite proudly took ownership of the artistic mess on the car's exterior calmly stating, "Yes it was me. I used a rock but don't worry mama we can wipe it away with water mama, don't worry,"
At this point, Murugi didn't even know what to do adding, "at that point I was so mad I started telling her, 'you can never ever scratch anybody's car as you can't remove it with water,' and she was there arguing with me going all, 'no, no, I know you can remove it with water,' and I was just like my sweet baby girl shut up! I was so mad I had balancing tears.
No at that point they were unbalanced, they were just coming out. So, I walk into our home office Zach looks up to me and asks 'babe what's up?' So I just showed him the picture and he just crumbled as well. Because all he could see was the tens of thousands this is going to cost,"
Finishing up the mother of 3 stated, "The worst part of this all is that my sweet girl Mutana didn't do it knowing it was wrong or it was going to cause all that damage. To her, it was the same as when you draw with a finger and the time she was doing it all the other kids were playing at the other side of the estate so Mukeni wasn't even there to tell her to stop,"
