Rev Natasha’s Marriage: Major Decision Still Pending

 

Pastor Lucy Natasha has opened up about the unique challenges of her long-distance marriage and her faith-driven approach to life and family.

Married for three years, Natasha lives in Kenya, where she leads the Empowerment Christian Church, while her husband Stanley Carmel, whom she met on Instagram, resides in Canada.

Though they make continuous efforts to bridge the physical gap, with frequent visits and shared preaching engagements, the couple has yet to decide where to settle permanently.

“My husband lives in Canada, I live in Kenya, but we always go back and forth to see each other. He comes to Kenya as often as he can and sometimes we meet when we have preaching engagements together. We are just into our third year of marriage. We are still trying to navigate whether to settle fully in Kenya or Canada,” she explained.

Reflecting on the challenges of long-distance relationships, Natasha believes these arrangements can work if both partners are committed and willing to compromise.

“I think long-distance relationships can work, that is if the two partners can communicate effectively and have the commitment, and both of them can compromise because in a long-distance relationship most of the time you have the challenges of time zone and not seeing each other often,” she noted.

When will they be having a child?

When asked about starting a family back in a April 2024 interview with Oga Obinna, Natasha shared that she was eagerly awaiting the blessing of children but trusted in God’s timing.

“Children are a precious gift from God,” she expressed, adding that she drew joy from seeing her sister, Shifra, embrace motherhood.

“Having children is ultimately in God’s hands. I’m hopeful and prayerful that one day, we too will be blessed with children. I trust in God’s plan and patiently wait for His timing,” she said, also revealing her hope to have two children in the future.
