Award-winning Kenyans actress Catherine Kamau alias Kate Actress has penned a message of appreciation to her ex-husband Phillip Karanja.
The former mother-in-law actress used her socials to send a message to Phil while celebrating her son.
In her post, Kate also expressed her gratitude her son’s teacher and friends who have helped shape her son to the young man he is now.
“Dear God thank you 🥹🙏🏽… Not once did we call upon your name , yet , over and over you showed up for my child . we have come back to say THANK YOU GOD . To my family , my dear friends , Baba Njeri @phil_director 🙏🏽. His teachers Asanteni sana God bless you all. Hey Lee ,we did it baby 😭,” reads Kate Actress’s post on Instagram.

In September 2023, Kate Actress and her hubby Phillip announced they had decided to end their six year marriage. The two put out a joint statement that signaled the end of their marriage.
“We came to a conclusion to end our marriage a long while ago and separated. We sincerely request everyone to honour our wishes for privacy for us and our children. Signed Kate and Phil,” the joint statement read.
Kate added; “Was never a secret, we just kept it private. To all our dear fans, Asanteni sana for the support over the years,”.

In a past interview, the former Sue Na Johnnie actress revealed that she got pregnant with her first-born son within three months of joining College in Uganda.
“After three months in Uganda for Campus, I was pregnant, I think Mathe alikuwa amechoka hata akawish angezaa maandazi akuneywe nayo chai (Laughing). Alikuwa amechukua loan ya Sh400K anipeleke Kampala International University, hata sijabreathe ball…enyewe nilisumbua. Nilikaa kaa huko juu that time hata sikuwa naelewa ball ni nini, I was barely 19…so after kurudi mather hakukuwa nikamuandikia kibarua hapo kirefu, nikahepa kwa kina beshte yangu but eventually nilirudi home. I broke the news to my mum in a letter… I really disappointed her but she never gave up on her,” said Kate actress.
