Karen Nyamu Lauds William Ruto for Cancelling Adani Deals: "Given Country Hope"

Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has praised President William Ruto for cancelling all ongoing transactions with the Indian multinational conglomerate Adani Group. Senator Karen Nyamu has backed Ruto’s stand against Adani Group. The head of state publicly announced the cancellation during a State of the Nation address in the National Assembly on Thursday, November 21.

Addressing the legislators, President Ruto emphasised his commitment to transparency and accountability. Karen Nyamu's take on Adani's cancellation Reacting to the directive, Nyamu said the president had given the country hope by cancelling Adani's engagements after the group's chair, Gautam Adani, was indicted in the US.  The politician claimed that the deal seemed legitimate prior to Adani's indictment and that there were no red flags.  "The main reason Adani has been cancelled is what is happening in the US.

Before then, it seemed like a straightforward deal, but the president had to be concerned. However good the PPPs, however moneyed they are to oil our projects, the KETRACO and the expansion of our airport, we have to check their integrity as well. It is a very good move that the president has done. We have given him a standing ovation for the decision. We like it that he has given the country hope...," she said in a short commentary on Citizen TV.
