Band Beca's Miss Kamweru makes solo comeback after four years

Miss Kamweru, who is one half of Kenyan girl band The Band Beca has made her comeback after a four-year-hiatus.

This time round, Kamweru has made her debut solo career with her new love ballad 'Done.' The single marks a bold new chapter in her music journey, back as a mainstream Afro-pop artiste.

"Done" dives deep into the emotional journey of closure and self-empowerment after a turbulent relationship. The song tells the story of someone making the difficult choice to walk away from a toxic connection, even while wrestling with lingering feelings.

Through raw and relatable lyrics, "Done" reflects themes of self-worth, resilience, and emotional release. The powerful chorus serves as a declaration of being “done” with turmoil and embracing peace, resonating with anyone who has faced heartbreak and found the strength to prioritize their own well-being.

Taking to her social media, Kamweru wrote "My new chapter begins. I’m extremely excited and super emotional to share with y’all that first baby,my first solo single is almost here."

The  Afro-pop singer, songwriter, and performe is known for her previous work with Band BeCa, she made a mark on the music scene with hits like "Brathe," "Kindanindani," and "Watch Your Mouth."

In addition to her music career, Kamweru is a talented voice-over artist and commercial model.
