Anita Nderu's profound moment as her mother become a grandmother

Anita Nderu

It is a blessing to become a parent, but an even bigger one watching your own parents transform and take on the role of being a grandparent. For Anita Nderu, it is a moment she is cherishing.

Anita while wishing her mother a happy birthday, revealed her mother was strict but is now showing a soft side.

"Wishing my Hooyo (Mummy) the happiest of birthdays 💕 It has been the pleasure of a lifetime watching her be a Grandmother💕" she captioned a picture of her mother and daughter

Anita reflected on how strict her mum was but that has quickly changed as she too on her grandmother's role

"My envy aside😂 I understand why my parents were strict about so many things! Because now, half I regret and half I understand the importance of regulation around. But I see a softer side of my parents now, a side that I have never seen before! Kaya can get away with anything around them and they are much more playful. They even lecture us for being tough with routine😄 It is beautiful to watch!"

Anita also added about the profound difference she sees right now.

"My Mother and I share a relationship right now that is so adult 😄 sometimes I wish I didn't know half the details😂 but my favourite thing remains, seeing her in this new era and re-learning everything I was too much of a teenager to listen to, aaaaand memorising all her recipes while arguing with her over whose ingredients are more organic 😄"

Adding

"Random fact: My Mother spends more time on TikTok than me😄All this is to say how much I love and appreciate my Mum💕🎉🥳"

Anita's dad is Kikuyu, while her mother is a Somali. She has ever described her mother as a woman with strong principles, discipline and courage. Anita's mother has three favorite words."

"You were right! "

The media personality often repeats those words and remains forever grateful she was raised by her mother to be selfless.

- You insisted and still do that we should be independent hard-working individuals, we're trying Mummy seems to be working out great so far.

- Humble you have always taught us to be but speak your mind you said if it is just stand your ground and we do you would be proud!

- My best friend you have become, we call each other and talk about anything and everything who knew there would be days like these? And mum I really love it! ☺

- You were and still are the most hilarious woman I know! Your stories crack me and my friends up, may God multiply your laughter for all the joy you bring!
