Digital content creator and brand influencer Murugi Munyi has surprised her mom with a new car.
The mother of 3 shared the emotionally joyous moment on her Instagram stories highlighting it was such an honor being in a position to extend such an act of comfort and ease to her mom.
Sharing a video capturing the beautiful moment Murugi wrote, “the books I could write about how my mama’s love for us and for God has carried us through the most difficult moments in life.
I feel so honored to be able to add even the slightest comfort in her life as, and when I am blessed to be able to do so,” Adding a message of gratitude to God for his grace upon their lives.
“Our God did not fail,” the mother of 3 wrote accompanying the post with a love heart emoji.
In the video captioned, ‘Surprising my mama with a car,’ Murugi who was standing alongside her sisters could be seen handing the keys over to their mom who was holding back tears after warmly embracing her. The influencer then urged her mom to get into her new ride and give it a spin. The video then pans to Murugi on the co-driver seat with her hand clasped around her mom’s with their fingers intertwined as the old lady drove her new whip around.
A few weeks ago, the content creator revealed she and her family won’t be doing an international holiday vacation to celebrate the December festivities as she was building her mom a new house among a few other projects she had.
Through a video shared on her Instagram stories she shared, “Zach and I sat down and realized we have two big ongoing projects… the family home we’re building, and the house I’m building for my mom. The reality is international trips are expensive! So, we decided to sacrifice this year—maybe even two years—and go to a local destination where we can still spend time together, but save some money,”
She further pointed out how demanding construction work can be, especially when working within a set timeline for multiple projects.
In a different media post, Murugi stressed that vacations, at their core, are all about spending quality time with loved ones and relaxing, and that it really doesn’t matter whether the experience is local or international.
“And if you’ve ever built anything, you know that every single shilling counts. Unless you have unlimited resources—which we don’t—we’re doing everything we can to move these projects forward as fast as possible. I really want my mom to be in her new home by the end of next year, and that can’t happen if we’re spending a lot of money on vacations,” the content creator said.
