Natalie Githinji has shared a message of hope as she continues to fight endometriosis, describing this month as the toughest she’s experienced so far.
“I’ve had 3 cycles this month, and my hormones were all over the place… this month has been really hard. Crazy mood swings, back pain like I’m 99 years old, nausea, no appetite the entire month. I can’t even remember the last time I ate properly, and anxiety episodes have been off the charts. It’s been really tough, no lie, but I thank God for my good friends who keep me grounded when I feel like I’m losing it. Managing endometriosis isn’t easy; it can drive you to the edge, but you need a strong circle to give you hope and keep you smiling,” Natalie shared on Instagram.
She explained that although she’s been at her lowest points, giving up is never an option.
“I’ve given up so many times, even today I was at the edge, but it’s worth nothing. Then God, purpose, hope, happiness, my mom, family, and my circle reminded me that giving up is not worth it! It’s hard, honestly, but I’m strong and great. I’m pushing on to the last breath!” she continued.
Natalie stated that despite the challenges of living with endometriosis, it shouldn’t stop you from fighting for a better tomorrow.
“Endometriosis is crazy, but that doesn’t stop you from living and fighting for another day. Let’s keep fighting, God will come through for us.”
She also urged the government to take action and create a center dedicated to endometriosis care.
“To the government of Kenya, I hope you don’t turn a blind eye to this. We need a big hospital, a Centre for Endo Care.”
Lastly, she encouraged fellow endometriosis warriors to keep fighting because they matter.
“Let’s keep fighting, we are warriors, fam, and you matter.”
