Public concern is growing as social commentator Scophine Aoko, widely known as Maverick Aoko, remains missing following reports that she was allegedly found near a hospital gate at the Kenya-Tanzania border.
Her fans have expressed concerns following her X account’s deactivation. According to an initial social media post, her father was said to be on his way to reunite with her after weeks of searching. However, she has reportedly not been physically seen since.
When did Maverick Aoko disappear? Aoko disappeared on October 22, shortly after a controversial post on her X account involving a prominent politician. Her sudden absence sparked intense reactions among her followers and public figures, including Law Society of Kenya President Faith Odhiambo, who demanded legal action if she had committed any offence.
Amid the public outcry, a source allegedly close to Aoko shared details of the events leading to her disappearance, indicating that her family was actively involved in the search. On Wednesday, November 13, her X account was deactivated, raising further alarm and prompting renewed calls for her safe return.
