Suba North Member of Parliament, Millie Odhiambo, has revealed that she frequently receives numerous requests for financial assistance from people across the country. MP Millie Odhiambo has exposed a weird text she got from a persistent youthful admirer. These requests typically seek help with school fees, medical bills, food, and sports-related expenses. “In my inbox, I get a plethora of requests from allover the country from people needing money for medical bills, food, fees, sports etc.
Then there is always one youth with a weird request,” she stated. However, one message from a youth, which she described as peculiar, has sparked mixed reactions among Kenyans. “Good morning Hon Millie, I know you’re almost retiring from this, but I have a crush on you. Last January, you rejected me like Finance Bill 2024,” the message read. Meanwhile, the outstanding legislator got married to Magugu Mabona, a citizen of Zimbabwe in 2006. How did Kenyans react to the strange message?
Kariuki Muchemi said: “Forgive him bad gal. It may be his mistake to take note of, but it is not his mistake that you’re beautifully and wonderfully created.” Amos Arap Maswai advised: “These young people want to be kept by older women. Summon him to your office and talk to him. Most of them don’t want to work hard majority are depressed. But again the decision lies on you.” Prince Kelvin SanCheto observed: “He’s expressing himself the right way maybe amongst all in your inbox, he’s the only one saying the truth others could just be bringing out an issue to attract your attention and sort them out but in reality, they could be lying.”
Wicklife Watice said: “A generation that has grown accustomed to indulgence and entitlement, displaying a marked absence of respect for their elders.” Jared Onchong’a commented: “I guess he is right. Better to speak your mind even when you know there is a backlash.” Otengo Emmanuel Ouma stated: “Being unique sometimes helps, what if he was to be among those in hospital bills, food, fees, sports etc? I am sure you would have missed posting such kind of messages.” Atieno Opee said: “The courage they have and some of their messages can have you in stitches even on a bad day.”
