Digital creator Brendah Jons recently opened up about her journey as a born-again Christian. Years after publicly detaching herself from the LGBTQ community, she shared her transformation story.
In a recent video posted on her social media, Brendah expressed how, after giving her life to Christ, she has had to let go of many things that once held significance in her life. She admitted that it hasn’t always been easy adjusting to these changes.
“I never thought I would let go of something so big in my life. Since I returned to salvation two years ago, I’ve had to release many things. What amazes me is that this is something I never thought I could let go of. But I realized God is working in me, and I said, ‘Lord, I surrender this completely; I want to be in a place of full surrender and obedience to You,’” she shared.
Brendah explained that her journey in faith has been transformative, shaping her into a more mature Christian as she feels the conviction of her beliefs grow stronger.
“With everything I know, it felt impossible to let go of certain things. But God is continually working in me, and I have been able to release those things, keeping my eyes fixed on Jesus. It’s been a beautiful journey, dying to self daily. Just like how one matures with age, the same goes for Christianity and becoming a mature believer,” she added.
Excited about the future, Brendah expressed her belief that God allows us to let go to create space for new blessings and growth in our lives.
“When you let go, you make room for something new. Sometimes God asks us to release things, and though it’s painful, like right now, I’ve allowed myself to grieve. But I trust He’s making room for more. I’m so excited to see what that next thing will be,” she said.
