Vihiga Woman Painfully Recounts Losing 12 Kids Under Unknown Circumstances: "Niko Pekee Yangu"

Vihiga woman Safina Buguza recounts losing 12 children in strange circumstances.

A woman from Vihiga county has agonisingly opened up about the massive losses she experienced years ago.  Safina Buguza recalled how she lost her children under mysterious circumstances, leaving her in great pain. How many sons, daughters did Buguza have? The woman said she bore a dozen children, but none of them is alive, as she is all alone with no family support.

Buguza said she had six boys and six girls whom she bore with one husband who stood by her in their loss. "I was also surprised by their death. I never understood what the issue was. Sometimes, they would get sick and then pass away," she said. Buguza opens up on husband after losing kids Buguza noticed that her husband, for many years, never showed animosity towards her despite losing 12 kids in 12 years. He was with her throughout, showing his unwavering support as an excellent husband to his wife during challenging times. "He never beat or blamed me.

He was always quiet. I cannot remember any given time he gave me a cold shoulder because of losing the children," she said. When was the last time Buguza saw her husband? Her husband depended on menial jobs to support the family, and once, after an employer evicted him from his land, he also gave up on his relationship with Buguza.

It was the last time Buguza saw her understanding husband, leaving her at the time with two children with disability. "He did not say he was going. He left me alone with the two kids. They became my responsibility as I had to look for work to feed them. Previously, my husband was the breadwinner, and I would rely on him for everything until he left without a trace or goodbye," she said.
