Rigathi Gachagua Uses Private Chopper in His Embu Trip Amid Fallout with Ruto

 

The differences between President William Ruto and his deputy, Rigathi Gachagua, continue to be public. The ceremony, which the president had initially planned to attend before cancelling at the last minute, is being held at St. Mark Teachers' Training College. To show the deepening divisions in the Kenya Kwanza administration, Gachagua arrived at the venue using a private chopper. Gachagua's move to use a private chopper elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans, given that it came days after members of the National Assembly impeached him. 

In the past, the deputy president was using police choppers or, on some occasions, a military chopper. How Kenyans reacted to Gachagua using private chopper Muriaso: "Wait, HE is no longer using the Kenya Air Force choppers like before? Then its true that the president calls the shots." incognito: "He might win the sympathy of people and we will end up with the same mistake we have now."
