Photos of Rigathi Gachagua Braving Heavy Downpour to Report to Work as 5am Emerge

Rigathi Gachagua, known for his dedication to the Kenya Kwanza manifesto, previously shared images of himself rising at 5am to go to the office, even amid rain before he was removed from office as the deputy president. Photos of Rigathi Gachagua braving heavy downpour to report to work as 5am emerge.  What did Gachagua say about his early morning routine?  In the April 2023 post, he expressed admiration for Kenyans who braved the weather to work, demonstrating their resilience.

"Time check 5.30am. As I drove through the city on my way to work early this morning, I was amazed by the resilience of the Kenyan people. Despite the heavy downpours, Kenyans are briskly walking to work as drivers beat the traffic and drainage challenges," he stated. Gachagua made these remarks following weeks of nationwide protests involving thousands of Kenyans marching against high living costs and alleged fraud in the 2022 elections. The protests, which resulted in at least three deaths, 400 injuries, and several businesses looted, were marred by violence.

Gachagua emphasised that lawbreakers would be swiftly apprehended and prosecuted, while also noting that the economy was beginning to show signs of recovery. "With the calling off of the demonstrations and violence, I urge all Kenyans to go back to work and resume their businesses with vigour and alacrity. Aware that hooligans who were set to take advantage of the chaos to loot and steal could still be prepared to continue, our security officers are vigilant and on full alert," he added.
