Nyamira: Puzzle as 5 Family Members Mysteriously Die Within 1 Month

A family in the Nyasio area of Nyamira county is mourning the sudden and mysterious deaths of their relatives. Locals surrounding a police land cruiser at a crime scene.  Citizen TV reported that five of the family members died over the last month, whereas one allegedly was killed a few months ago. A 67-year-old woman, Jane Nyaboke, and her two daughters are the latest victims after their bodies were found dumped in separate thickets within the county.  Moturi, a family member, stated:  “I went to the mortuary and confirmed my mom and sister were dead. Two of my cousins and one child also died before in mysterious ways.”

These deaths have sparked fears with suspicions that unknown men could be targeting the family. Nyaboke and one of her daughters, Edna, left home to run errands but failed to return as expected. When the family launched a search mission for the two, they were yet again met with the shocking news that the woman’s other daughter, Lorna Kerubo, had also gone missing. Fred, a relative, said: “Mom and Edna left the homestead on Monday to visit our grandmother but did not get there. On Tuesday, Lorna left to run her daily errands only to be reported missing.” Nyamira family seeks police intervention Following the mysterious case, the family demands that police speed up investigations into the alleged murders.

One of the relatives, identified as Peter Moturi, said: “In the past one year, a total of six people have died, five of whom passed away in one month.” Bilhar Kerubo, who is also a member of the family, lamented that their kin were being murdered like chickens and called on authorities to act fast. “I am pleading with the government to intervene; people are being killed like chickens,” she stated. Nonetheless, the distraught relatives claim the unknown people killing their kin are working to wipe out the entire family. They further faulted police officers, noting that they were taking their sweet time to unravel the mystery surrounding the deaths. Abdalla Hamisi: “The officers are not working as they should because there are people who have been murdered, and they are not probing. Postmortem results are also terrible.
