• Tanzanian singer Nandy has been forced to perform for free of charge after not making an appearance at her Nandy festival show that was supposed to go down on Saturday night.
  

Tanzanian singer Nandy has been forced to perform for free of charge after not making an appearance at her Nandy Festival Show, which was supposed to go down on Saturday night.

In a statement, Nandy said the heavy rain resulted to the show not going down.

"Kutokana na Sababu Zilizo Nje ya Uwezo Wetu, Tamasha la #NandyFestival2024 Lilopangwa Kufanyika jana Tarehe 12/10 Siku ya Jumamosi (KWENYE VIWANJA VYA BASKETBALL MKWAKWANI TANGA), Halikuweza Kufanyika Kutokana nasababu zilizo nje ya uwezo wetu ikiwemo pamoja na mvua kubwa."

Due to reasons beyond our control, the #NandyFestival2024 was scheduled to take place yesterday 12/10 on Saturday (at MKWAKWANI TANGA BASKETBALL COURTS), it could not take place due to reasons beyond our control including heavy rain

She went on to say that she and the team will be performing for free on Sunday to pay back for not performing to her fans on Saturday.

"Na Kwasababu ya Upendo Mkubwa na Mapokezi Makubwa ambayo wakazi wa Mkoa Wa Tanga Mmekua Mkituonyesha Siku Zote,Tumeamua Kurudia Tamasha la Nandy Festival na Kuwatetea Burudani Hii Siku Ya Leo Tarehe 13/10 JUMAPILI Hapa Hapa Kwenye Viwanja vya Basketball Mkwakwani Bila Kiiingilio yani Bure Kuanzia Saa Sita Mchana."

( And because of the great love and welcome that the residents of the Tanga region have shown us all day, we have decided to repeat the Nandy Festival and bring the entertainment today, Sunday 13/10, right here at the Mkwakwani basketball courts without entrance fee, that is, free from noon)

Nandy has been doing shows in different parts of Tanzania the last few weekends.
