Gerald Mwangi's Mum Inconsolable While Viewing Super Metro Conductor's Body

Gerald Mwangi's mum wept bitterly during his funeral.

The mother of Gerald Mwangi, a Super Metro matatu conductor who died after a road accident, has broken down at his burial. Gerald Mwangi's mum wept bitterly during his funeral. What happened at Makanga Bae's burial? Popularly known as Mwas, he lost his life in the hospital after being thrown out of a moving matatu, and his leg was amputated. He was admitted to the Kenyatta National Hospital but later died while undergoing dialysis due to organ failure.  The loving dad and husband was buried on Wednesday, October 23 in Kiambu county.

The memorial service was held at the St. Anne's Catholic Church grounds in Uthiru before his burial. A video shared online showed mourners viewing the body, with many breaking down in sorrow. One woman had to be held by a team of nurses as she was overwhelmed by emotions. His colleagues, wearing matching t-shirts, were present to pay their last respects. His mother could not contain the pain of losing a child while viewing his remains. The video showed the family members being prioritised in viewing the body.

"Let us allow the family to view the body," the MC said. First up was a young girl accompanied by two women. Several ladies followed after, and one of them painfully laid her head on the casket. Another woman wept loudly after viewing Mwas. When the mother's turn came, she started crying even before viewing the body. A nurse and another family member held her as she shed tears. Mwas's mother painfully held the casket while speaking to him, shaking her head. She tightly hugged the casket as her friend consoled her. She was led away and supported on both sides.
