Diana Marua's Case Against Willy Paul Allegedly Rescinded Over Illegality in Accessing Evidence

Kenyan musician Willy Paul, aka Pozzee, has been cleared by the office of the has been exonerated of all charges related to cyber harassment after the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) reviewed the case. Diana Marua had accused Willy Paul of cyber harassment.  Diana Marua Omach's allegations were declared inadmissible because of forensic evidence collection procedures gone wrong. Bahati's wife had accused the musician of cyber harassment.

 According to the ODPP, without a court warrant, Pozze's phone was seized and examined, infringing on the person's right to privacy.  “Premised on the foregoing, we direct that the case should be closed as it will occasion a misca**iage of justice,” part of the letter from the ODPP read. The Sijafika singer elatedly shared the message, which was lengthy and said that the accusations were aimed at maligning him. "The arrest was the result of some baseless accusations intended to ruin my reputation. I was demonized in the public glare, mocked, and my name dragged through the mud with little regard for the facts." He thanked the ODPP for diligently carrying out their duties.
