Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Nyaga affirmed that no student had been sent home for teachers’ motivational fees. He noted that he asked for the student’s class and the name of the teacher, but the complainant failed to provide them. “It's not true; that is just a claim. I asked the person to give me the name of the class and the teacher, and they never did. It is impossible; we did not send any student home,” Nyaga said.
He further said the claims were fake as the parent did not provide official documentation showing her nephew was sent home from school. “Those are just fake stories because they have not given any written document confirming that fact. It is just verbal, and anyone can say anything. The principal noted that he asked the parent to share written documentation of her claims to enable him to investigate the issue, but she declined. “I told her to share the details with me because I would have also investigated the issue. They keep bleeding on innocent children.” Elmeldah Nyams: “Schools nowadays it's Business first. Priority is on the money, and education comes later. Having a child who is in school in Kenya is a punishment.”
