Gospel artist Ben Cyco and his wife Wanjiru Njiru are new parents. The couple welcomed a son 2 months ago.

In their podcast JoyRide, Ben shared how fatherhood has changed him.

"You lied to me those babies are very cute on Instagram and when you are holding them. But he wakes up at 2 or 4 AM and you have to figure out why they are crying. I have heard people say by the fifth child you will have adapted, if you want things to be easier pop them quicker. The second one we will still be warming up.' He joked

Wanjiru shared that motherhood hasn't been easy.

'It's been very demanding. My coach told me I would try this but I did not understand. Motherhood has shown how imbalanced the equation is."

In an emotional video, Ben Cyco recounted losing their unborn kid at 8 weeks.

“We got a baby and we were so excited about it, but after 2 months, we lost the baby. That was a huge dent in our marriage, but God’s grace is sufficient…but that has been a tough season. "That happened like two months ago…we tried, but I guess it just did not turn out the way we wanted it to be, and we lost the baby at 8 weeks,” Ben Cyco said.

Ben added

“That was so heavy on us, and we had no energy left in us to do like a live experience. So this season has been so heavy, especially for you (Wanjiru), and I have just been praying for grace and trying to support you in the best way possible,” he shared.
