Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is currently facing 11 charges of alleged misconduct. Senate Speaker Amason Kingi began the impeachment trial of Gachagua by outlining the procedures for the proceedings. However, he observed that Senator Karen Nyamu was not paying attention. What did Kingi say to Nyamu? Kingi, who was deeply engaged in explaining the procedures to the Senate, paused briefly to address Nyamu. He also stated that Gachagua was obligated to address the charges outlined in the impeachment motion.
