Globally acclaimed stand-up comedian, content creator, and brand influencer Timothy Kimani, popularly known as Blessed Njugush, exemplifies the power of blocking out negativity and focusing on one’s goals.

The father of two recently shared during a conversation with YouTuber Lynn Ngugi that a prominent figure in the industry once told him he couldn’t host live events and should stick to online skits.

Njugush didn’t let those belittling words discourage him. He stressed the importance of setting an example for aspiring content creators and expanding their imagination about the opportunities in the comedy and entertainment industry.

“You have young people who want to do something similar, but there are many who don’t want that to happen. If you can break that ceiling, it means everyone else will fly,” he said.

He acknowledged that some people think his rates are too high, but he feels justified in charging what he does. “I’ve come from far, crawling my way to the top, and I believe I’m worth every shilling I charge, if not more.”

Njugush explained that his rate card is based on extensive research and a history of providing quality services, including free work in the past.

He is committed to delivering exceptional results for his clients.

Reflecting on his 10 years in the industry, Njugush stated the importance of investing wisely as a creator without a set monthly salary.

“As a content creator, you have no 9-to-5, so you must define your ‘you time.’ You can end up working on weekends, but it’s crucial to set boundaries,” he advised.
