Vihiga: Grateful Parents Reward Teacher Who Helped Needy Pupils with New Uniform

Teacher Harriet Iravonga of Kaimosi Demonstration Primary School has been given sweet gifts by parents days after she helped needy pupils get new uniforms and shoes. . Where is Kaimosi Demonstration school? In a sweet Facebook post, the excited pupils are seen gifting their teacher, Harriet, who was all smiles, a chicken.  Like a sweet cherry to a cake, the young teacher from the Vihiga-based school was also seen admiring two pieces of sugarcane that came from another parent.  Teacher Harriet has a close bond with her class; it is the close relationship that made her realise that they come from very needy backgrounds, and she decided to work on their immediate needs. 

“We are here again can you see the love? I have heard one shouting we love you in the background. Goodbyes are never easy, I was also attached to these kids, I feel so sorry for them,” she said. “A boy was crying in a corner. Grade Four, here we come may the good Lord keep them for me until we meet next year,” she added.
