Kenyans have commended businesswoman Shiquo HiiStyles for selling items she imports from China at a favourable price. Shiquo HiiStyles has been trending since she showed Kenyans how to get affordable goods from China. This comes as many shoppers lament about retailers hiking prices for goods they import at fair prices. Who is Shiquo HiiStyles? In her TikTok videos, Shiquo shows Kenyans the places she imports goods from in China and how much she sells them.
Some goods include shoes, women’s handbags, kitchen utensils and equipment, blankets, and suitcases. While Kenyans have marvelled at the low prices of the stylish items she sells, some business people in Nairobi are angry because she is allegedly diluting their business. However, a TikToker shared a video praising the lady for exposing ways traders are taking advantage of gullible buyers. “Shiquo has made many Kamukunji traders to close their stalls and go back to the block because they were taking advantage. How can a carpet worth KSh 6000 at Kamukunji be KSh 2800 at Shiquo’s? She should keep up with the good work. Let everyone decorate their houses as they should.
How can wholesalers sell us cups at KSh 300 yet they are getting them at 20 cents. Shiquo big up yourself,” said the TikToker. In his words: Here are some of the comments from social media users: @Patiat said: “Lakini viatu kama airforce ni fake.” @sleek8 said: “My honest view is that she needs to be careful moving forward. The business world has a lot of mafias.” @Wendy said: “Waiting Angie side ya nyumba nataka bungalow Kileleshwa na KSh 50,000.” @Kablacky Beauty said: “Have they counted shipping money ama unaorder inaletwa bure.” @Jamilla Karemi said: “Shiquo, she is the best and good heart.” @Agneta Gatacha said: “Mimi nangoja mpaka zifike port ku-clear.” @Machakos Finest said: “Cheap is fake. Kwanza hizo suitcase huwezi tembea nayo siku mbili unaeka kwa dustbin.” @Rebman44 said: “She should be protected by all means because not so many people are happy.” @Nella said: “We are fixing this country”
