Susan Munene, the famous Twa Twa pastor has opened up on battling infertility in her marriage. This was not long after her marriage to pastor Munene.

In an interview with Muthoni Wa Cephas, she shared

“He (Pastor Munene) told me that we would get three kids.

He said we would get two boys and a girl. He told me our firstborn would be Wisdom, the second winner, and the third Unity. I wanted to leave him, because who knows how many kids they will get. But my friend warned me against leaving him. I slept with him for the first time during our honeymoon. We started having challenges conceiving.”

Susan said her husband is very spiritual, he saw her being pregnant and sick, she thought it was a joke until it happened just as he had predicted.

‘One month down the line, I developed a sharp pain and fell I started calling for the pastor (her hubby). Just the same way he had predicted. I was less than two months pregnant. I was found to have a cyst that had tied around my fallopian tube. The tube and one side of my fallopian tube were removed. We were told our chances of being parents are 50/50. Even as a young girl I always had a potbelly, I never knew I had a cyst.”

Susan says she asked her husband to leave her and marry someone else as she might not be able to get kids.

‘After leaving the hospital I was very bitter for the fear I might not be able to give him the three kids he wanted. He however assured me that he did not marry me for kids.

Pastor Susan went on to share that she later developed an ectopic pregnancy.

“We stayed for years without kids, One day after attending to a patient I heard some movement in the process. I later found out I was pregnant. It became a ruptured ectopic pregnancy, for my second pregnancy. I ended up in the theatre for 3 hours. They ended up cutting my remaining fallopian tube. They then told my husband that we should accept that we could never get other kids. My husband told them that I would be back to deliver, despite not having Fallopian tubes.”

Susan says she ended up getting pregnant with a boy after her tubes were cut. The pregnancy was discovered at 5 months. The couple currently have two kids, two boys and a girl.
