A cloud of grief has engulfed Lugari constituency following the brutal murder of a 49-year-old man whose mutilated body was found dumped in a bush near his home. Isaac Tatuli was brutally murdered, and his mutilated body was found near his home. The victim, identified as Isaac Tatuli, had been actively involved in planning the burial of his cousin’s child. A report by Citizen Digital revealed that Tatuli left his colleagues after finishing plans to pick up the body from the mortuary, intending to head home.
However, this was the last time he was seen alive as the middle-aged man never made it to his house. Tragically, his desecrated body was discovered just a few meters from his residence on Friday, October 18. Pamela Bushuru, a resident of the area, was the one who stumbled upon Tatuli’s lifeless body as she went to milk her cows.
Shaken by the discovery, Bushuru described the state of the body, revealing that it bore deep panga wounds and that some of his body parts were missing. “The body was in a terrible state. It had panga wounds and missing body parts,” she revealed. Who could have killed Tatuli Tatuli’s family and locals have been left reeling from the shock, with many decrying the rising insecurity in the area.
The grieving family, led by Solomon Kakai, expressed their disbelief and frustration at the incident. Kakai recounted the last moments they spent with the deceased, noting how they had just completed the burial arrangements. “We were together just yesterday as we finalised preparations for the burial.
He didn’t return home, only for his body to be discovered dumped in the bush today,” grief-stricken Kakai said. Kakai called for the police to act swiftly in bringing the perpetrators to justice, revealing the existence of a notorious gang known as “China,” consisting of local youths.
He stated that the group has been terrorising residents in the area, especially during the night. Following the discovery, local police have launched investigations into the circumstances surrounding Tatuli’s death.
