William Ruto Stuns Kenyans after Including Raila in His China Entourage, Makes Fashion Statement

President William Ruto arrived in China

President William Ruto arrived in China on Monday, September 2 in style. President William Ruto and Raila Odinga are in China. Did Raila accompany Ruto to China? The president flew to Beijing for the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit. He was accompanied by First Lady Rachel Ruto and Kenyan’s African Union Commission (AUC) chairperson candidate Raila Odinga.  Images shared on Ruto’s X page depicted them walking on a red carpet after alighting from a Kenya Airways plane.

The president looked casual in a sweatshirt, dark trousers, and sneakers. Rachel wore casual black slacks, loose-fitting trousers matching her jacket, and a black top. Raila walked behind them, wearing his signature fedora hat and a dark Kaunda suit. A military parade and dance troupe welcomed the group. "Over the years, China has proven to be a true development partner, significantly revamping our infrastructure.

We look forward to leveraging these ties to accelerate our transformation," Ruto wrote. Many Kenyans were surprised that Ruto tagged along with Raila for the trip. Others observed that he had opted to use a Kenya Airways plane rather than hire a private jet as he did on his US trip. Here are some of the sentiments: @omwambaKE: “Is that Raila Odinga, or am I seeing my things?” fredrickmaina95: “You have taken the begging bowl to China.” @jakesgyal: “The traitor is accompanying you.” @kijanaGachagua: “Nice. I see this time round, you did not hire a private jet.” @omondirana: “Good job for promoting the national airline.”
