Morara Kebaso Proposes Name of Political Party He Intends to Register
Lawyer and businessman Morara Kebaso |
Lawyer and businessman Morara Kebaso has hinted that he plans to register a political party using the funds remaining after purchasing a set of chairs.
Through his X (formerly Twitter) account, Kebaso stated that he will pay KSh 100,000 to register the party.
The lawyer is expected to submit documents, including two copies of the party's constitution, to the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties.
Morara, who has been a strong critic of President William Ruto’s government projects, has urged Generation Z to plan and form a coalition with their own leaders.
Earlier, during protests against the 2024/25 Finance Bill, Gen Z protestors admitted they lacked a specific leader, and the demonstrations were organized through social media.
Morara's announcement comes just a day after a heated online clash, especially on X, between him and activist Mercy Tarus over the slogan "Kenya Ni Home."
However, Morara stated in a post on X that the issue regarding the "Kenya Ni Home" slogan had been resolved.
Morara Kebaso had previously asked Kenyans to contribute funds to help him purchase sound equipment that he would use for his campaigns.
Additionally, Morara has announced that the party he intends to register will be called the Injection of National Justice, Economic and Civic Transformation (INJECT).
He also mentioned that the party’s colors will be green, symbolizing a new beginning, and gold, representing a prosperous future.
