Kenya is a beautiful country often hailed as the jewel of Africa.
Not only astonishing because of its wildlife but also because of its amazingly diverse landscapes. You also find endless savannahs, green rainforests, majestic mountains, oceans, deserts, and also lakes.
Each region has its own unique glamour, contributing to Kenya's reputation as one of the most scenic countries in the world.
Beginning with the majestic savannas, particularly the Maasai Mara, is the world's most famous for the large rolling plains that stretch endlessly into the horizon.
Tsavo East, Tsavo West National Park, Samburu National Reserve and Amboseli National Park are also known for their savannahs and inhabitants.
Watching the sunset over the Maasai Mara as the famous wildebeests and zebras graze is a sight that leaves an incredible mark on one's soul.
We also have the Nairobi National Park which is the most unique in the world since it is located close to the city center.
Mountains like Mt. Kenya which is the highest one of all. It attracts many tourists that climb up to the highest peaks.
However, in Taita Hills and the Eastern Great Rift Valley, there are lower mountain ranges and beautiful hillsides.
In Rift Valley, you also find Volcanos and calderas like Mt. Longonot and Menengai crater.
It's also dotted with alkaline lakes like Lake Bogoria, Naivasha, and Nakuru which are home to thousands of flamingos and other bird species.
The Indian Ocean. This is one of the world largest oceans. With its clear blue, vast shorelines. The landscape here in Mombasa is dotted with palms, which cast a shade with their fronds and some of the most renowned hotels are here.
Other Coastal towns like Malindi and Watamu are blessed with coral reefs, marine parks and conservational areas.
Kenya also has two deserts: the Chalbi Desert which is located North near Ethiopian border near Lake Turkana and Nyiri Desert located South near Amboseli National Park. In Chalbi Desert we also find the Kalacha Oasis.
The nation's natural splendor stands as a testament to the enduring beauty of the African wilderness.
