Images of Kasmuel McOure, a Gen Z activist at the forefront of criticising the government with an MP, have gone viral. Kasmuel McOure’s photos with Silvanus Osoro fueled speculation.  Why did Kasmuel meet Silvanus Osoro? Kasmuel, known for his three-piece suits and being vocal, became famous during the antigovernment protests that rocked Kenya's capital, Nairobi. He has appeared in numerous TV shows locally and internationally, demanding better governance. However, his latest images with South Mugirango MP Silvanus Osoro have thrown a spanner into the works. 

Osoro is the majority whip in parliament and a fierce defender of President William Ruto; hence, many netizens believed he had sold himself to the government. The images were first shared by a Kenya who discreetly photographed them at the United Kenya Club, claiming Kasmuel had been given money, and X user @kilundeezy posted them. More images emerged of the two smiling ear to ear and shaking hands. The images sparked a debate, as some called for patience to allow Kasmuel to explain the context. However, others concluded that he had been after money all along.
