A family is still searching for their loved one who went missing during a significant event in Kenya's history. .  Peter Amina went missing during the anti-government demonstrations conducted across the country. The elderly man left home on Thursday afternoon, July 18, but failed to return, leaving the family worried. Edward's father Amina's medical condition Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Edward, one of his sons, narrated the events that led to his father's disappearance.  "That day, my dad was home, and it was his custom to leave home to visit a place, like a shop. He usually waited when no one monitored his moves before sneaking out of the house.

When my sister was not watching him that day, he left home without a trace. However, he has an underlying medical condition that began in 2016 where he sometimes loses his memory," he said. Edward, Amina's second-born, said the condition began to manifest after he retired. How has Amina's disappearance affected his family? Amina was last seen in brown clothes and sandals with a hat to compliment his appearance. "We feel so lost. We reported the matter to the police, and until now, we have not received any leads or information. My mother is stressed. She barely sleeps or eats because of the disappearance of my dad. We are also worried about his whereabouts, mainly because of his mental condition.

"We have been told several times that someone like him has been seen in the nearby villages, but when we go, we find someone else. I have had to leave my job in Naiorbi to return home in Kakamega to follow up on his disappearance, hoping to reunite with him soon," he said.
